Accra, Ghana To Host Historic World Youth Summit Act IV 2020

[Accra, Ghana] Ghana will for the FIRST time host the World Youth Summit Act IV, March 5-7, 2020. This milestone makes Ghana the first of the African Nations to be selected as HOST in 2020.
The Summit, predominantly of young change makers across the globe will be on the theme “Rewiring Progress of foundational behavioural changes for the sustainability of the world “among other topics of entrepreneurship and diaspora matters.
In an MoU signed between World Youth Summit and HIRED Consult, both parties committed to bring the World to GHANA. Mr. John Aggrey, Founder and CEO of HIRED Consult, who is spearheading the affairs in Ghana has also been designated as the Director General of WYS Summit Act IV.
“Indeed, Ghana is the place to be and we are the centrepiece and gateway of Africa. The Future is Youthful. This historic event coincides with Ghana’s independence; a significance that holds true for the liberation of the African Continent and People in the Diaspora”.

In his speech also, Mr. Hassan Rengou Mfouakie, President of World Youth Summit, praised Ghana as a country of peace and full of youthful potentials. He stated that
“the time has come to fulfil action plans of raising young leaders irrespective of background, race or affiliation and looks forward to enjoying all that Ghana has in store; very much impressed with the Year of Return activities”.

The summit is expected to host over 500 young people from across the globe, who will debate on matters that affect the youth and the world at large.
It is expected that the number of African representations would increase significantly, considering the enthusiasm and euphoria the Summit is gaining.
The 3-day programme will start with a simulation of six (6) diversified committees of the United Nations, comprising Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), UN WOMEN, African Union (AU), Union for Mediterranean (UFM), United Nations Commission on Population and Development (UNCPD) and UNDP.
It is aimed at giving an opportunity to participants or delegates to engage themselves with the dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of world leaders and influential decision-makers.
The programme will also provide an opportunity for delegates to improve their skills in many domains such as teamwork, negotiation, leadership and public speaking while motivating them to activate and participate in the UN’s Agenda 2030.
To climax the programme, organisations have will give participants a tour of the Accra City, a Cultural Night and Gala dinner, “so they can end up with great learning and leave this conference into high notes with golden memory of their respective desires”.
